Our client, a national fleet and logistics company, is seeking an experienced Fleet Maintenance Controller to join their rapidly expanding team.
Responsibilities:
Vehicle Maintenance and Breakdown Control
- Vehicle maintenance according to recommended intervals
- COF planning and scheduling
- Refrigerated unit maintenance according to recommended hours
- Maintenance and certification of aerial work platforms
- Maintenance and certification of cranes
- Tipper truck maintenance intervals
- Trailer maintenance intervals
- Tires
Consult with customers regarding vehicle damage and mistreatment
Recover costs for damage and mistreatment
Generate work orders promptly
Ensure vehicle mileage is regularly updated in Mix and SAP
Report any overdue services to management daily or weekly
Report any inactive or idled fleet due to repairs to management daily or weekly
Book services at workshops or dealerships
Ensure ITR has an account before booking
Ensure all supplier quotes and invoices are shared with the Maintenance department beforehand. To begin work, costs will be analyzed. Abuses and rates.
Invoices must be submitted for signature and delivered to the head office on time.
Resolve overdue service invoices for clients.
Obtain weekly mileage for service scheduling and monthly mileage for end-of-month billing.
Assist the site agent with their duties.
Complete daily and monthly invoices.
Answer the phone.
Maintain good working relationships with clients and staff.
Ensure all vendor invoices are submitted for signature and delivered to the head office on time.
Issue fuel receipts.
Must be a good team player.
Comply with occupational health and safety policies, procedures, and legal requirements, including safe driving practices.
Required qualifications.
Certification is required. Postgraduate qualifications are preferred.
Skills and experience are required.
3 to 5 years of experience in a similar environment.
High level of computer skills, especially in MS Excel and SAP (attention to detail).
Previous experience as a maintenance controller or similar with a proven track record is valued.
Teamwork experience.
Excellent administrative skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills.
Positive attitude.
Ability to work under pressure.
Valid driver’s license with code 8.
Relevant background checks will be conducted according to the client’s operational requirements.
