CIVIL ENGINEER (WATER) WANTED | DURBANLocation: Durban, KwaZulu-NatalPosition: Civil Engineer (Water)Our client, a leading engineering consultancy, is seeking a qualified Civil Engineer (Water) to join their dynamic team in Durban. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with extensive experience in water infrastructure design and project management.Key Responsibilities:Design water and wastewater infrastructure, including pipelines, pumping stations, reservoirs, wastewater treatment plants (WTW/WWTW), wells, valves, etc.Manage projects and contracts (GCC/JBCC), liaising with clients and contractors.Prepare technical reports at all project stages.Compile tender documentation, specifications, price lists, and drawings.Supervise and mentor junior engineers.Interact with clients and provide marketing support.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.4-5 years of experience in water infrastructure design and contract management.Experience with grant-funded projects (MIG, WSIG, RBIG).Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Wadiso/Epanet (Revit and Surge are a plus).Strong technical writing and stakeholder engagement skills.Commitment to register as a Professional Engineer within 24 months.English proficiency (isiZulu is a plus).Willingness to relocate to Durban.
