🔧 JOB OPENING: Bucket Repair Engineer/Specialist/Foreman

📍 Mpumalanga

We are a well-established plant rental company seeking a highly qualified engineer with proven hands-on experience in the repair, rebuilding, and manufacturing of buckets and components for earthmoving machinery.

This position is ideal for someone with practical experience and expertise with heavy machinery, capable of taking on responsibilities in the workshop and working independently, while also guiding others when necessary.

🛠 Key Responsibilities

Repair, rebuild, and reinforce earthmoving buckets (loaders, excavators, TLBs, etc.)

Fabricate and modify bucket components and heavy structural parts

Drill worn holes for pins and bushings

Assess wear and structural damage and determine appropriate repair methods

Accurately measure, mark, cut, and fabricate materials

Calculate, obtain, and order necessary materials

Ensure robust, high-quality welding suitable for demanding applications

Supervise and guide shop work related to bucket repair and fabrication

⚙ Required Skills and Experience

✔ Extensive welding and fabrication experience
✔ Extensive experience working with earthmoving machinery components
✔ Ability to operate shop machinery, including:

Lathe

Boring machine

Pillar drill

Plasma cutter

Magnetic or pedestal drill (Preferred)

✔ Ability to machine or finish pins, bushings, and components to correct tolerances.

✔ Ability to read measurements and manufacture accurately.

✔ Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

✔ Ability to work independently without constant supervision.

✔ Leadership skills in a workshop setting.

👷 Desirable (but not required).

⭐ Boilermaker/welder certification.

⭐ Experience in plant rental, mining, or heavy machinery.
