HVAC Technician
Functions and Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
Installing, servicing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems.
Performing diagnostics, troubleshooting, and resolving issues on HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
Inspecting equipment, identifying malfunctions, and recommending appropriate repairs.
Assisting with system commissioning, pressure testing, leak detection, and performance verification.
Reading and interpreting technical drawings, manuals, work orders, and work instructions.
Ensuring the proper handling and safe use of tools, equipment, materials, and refrigerants.
Completing reports, checklists, and maintenance records accurately.
Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
Reporting technical issues, safety hazards, equipment failures, delays, or shortages to the Project Manager.
Maintain order and cleanliness, ensuring that work areas are safe and organized.
Required Experience and Qualifications
High School Diploma/Grade 12. SARACCA HVAC Registration.
Certification in HVAC, refrigeration, air conditioning, or a related field.
A refrigerant handling certificate is a plus.
A valid driver’s license is a plus.
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in the installation, service, maintenance, and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
