JOB SUMMARY
The selected candidate will serve as Academic Coordinator and Advisor, as well as Strategic Education Consultant for the School of Nursing and Auxiliary Health Services at Netcare Education. The Academic Director is responsible for leading the overall academic function and the sustainable academic performance of Netcare centers, ensuring alignment with Netcare’s values and fostering a culture of inclusion and empowerment.
KEY RESULTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
DISRUPTIVE INNOVATION
Operational Efficiency
Lead and enhance academic development and operational academic coordination.
Academic Excellence
Act as an academic advisor regarding all Netcare Education academic programs and activities, in accordance with legal requirements, policies, procedures, Netcare Education’s philosophy, and objectives.
Compliance
Coordinate, direct, and maintain the academic practice standards required by all accredited bodies and relevant health legislation.
Ensure the Netcare group’s compliance with SANC, CHE, DHET, and SAQA requirements for all programs offered.
Ensure compliance with national academic and legislative requirements.

Ensure that Netcare Education maintains educational standards, academic quality assurance, efficient academic administrative processes, and effective risk management.
Achieve an expert level of knowledge and understanding of integrated clinical and corporate governance practices and controls to critically evaluate, implement, and maintain compliance with sound governance structures and processes, thereby promoting the ethics and values of the organization/industry.
Lead the improvement of existing processes and working conditions to optimize the quality of outcomes.
Research Activities
Lead and direct research at Netcare Education, sharing specialized knowledge to facilitate the discovery of new insights and applying them to create new and improved products, processes, and services that meet the needs of the academic and healthcare markets.
Ensure a global framework and analysis of the external environment to identify different perspectives and adopt successful practices.
Promote research and academic activities and outcomes across all campuses to meet academic and legislative requirements, as well as to develop highly skilled academic professionals.
Promote the dissemination of research findings and recommendations to support evidence-based practice.
Apply new knowledge derived from research to create new and improved products, processes, and services that meet the needs of the academic and healthcare markets.
Actively participate in industry-related projects, meetings, and forums.
Participate in and ensure the management and production of research at Netcare Education, Netcare, and in collaboration with other institutions.
WORK CONDITIONS
Professional flexibility in work schedule to support daily operations.
Interact with internal and external clients through various channels.
Travel may be required to perform the duties of this position.
