Position: Warehouse Assistant
Introduction
We are seeking a Warehouse Assistant for Life St George’s Hospital, who will report to the Inventory Manager. The position involves the professional receiving and distribution of surgical supplies to wards and operating rooms, as well as the procurement and handling of said supplies.
Key Results
Effective Inventory Management
Accurate delivery of supplies to wards, operating rooms, and patients
Receiving, checking, and distributing supplies, as well as maintaining efficient inventory levels
Active participation in inventories, cycle counts, and product conversions
Efficient distribution of supplies to other hospitals and returns to suppliers
Receiving supplies and verifying them against invoices and purchase orders
Unpacking and storing supplies
Effective Quality Management Systems
Participating in the implementation and compliance with the quality management systems of Life St George’s Hospital
Ensuring compliance with the legal and professional standards of the SAPC, the Department of Health, and Life St George’s Hospital
Achieving the required levels of customer service in operating rooms and inpatient wards
Implementing customer satisfaction and pharmaceutical quality initiatives
Maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring inventory security at all locations
Effective Financial Management
Participate in and drive form conversions and compliance according to Excellence for Life reports.
Effective product management.
Participate in the active management of the cost of sales for surgical inventory, aligning it with revenue and budget. Collaborate on campaigns to reduce obsolete and excess inventory.
Effective asset management.
Contribute to achieving inventory targets.
Drive improvements in the pharmacy’s operational efficiency.
Achieve optimal system utilization.
Requirements
High School Diploma
Proficient in computer skills (MS Office, Word, Excel)
Strong organizational skills
